Animals hold a fascination for me, having grown up in a house with dogs, cats, hamsters, fish and other adopted members of the menagerie. I couldn't imagine an animal free house, and currently share my house with two beautiful cats who often feature in my photographs.

The wildlife centres that I support most often include the Wildlife Heritage Foundation (www.whf.org.uk) and the British Wildlife Centre (http://www.britishwildlifecentre.co.uk). I understand that centres such as these give many people access to creatures they would never see in the wild, as well as the opportunity to learn about the animals, how they behave, and how they survive. In some instances if it wasn't for these animals in captivity, we'd be adding them to the list of creatures we no longer have in our world. So, I try and support the centres where they have been designed with the animals comfort and survival in mind. Where they are rescued, or part of a breeding program, a rescue program, or a retirement program!
